Winterize your skin: Chemically with Peels

04 Nov 2015 / 0 Comments / in Enhancements, Skin Care, Skin Care Tips, Uncategorized/by Kara McCarthy

Chemical Peels~ are some of the simplest and most effective treatments for achieving that radiant glowing skin. Not only can you expect smooth and clear skin from these treatments, but chemical peels can also help reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. Chemical peels work by ‘burning’ the top layer of the skin with an acid solution; this slowly removes dead skin cells and the outer layer of skin to reveal a softer and smoother layer underneath. With some many different variations of chemicals to choose from, such as  glycolic acid, lactic acid, salicylic acid, etc. The options for getting beautiful skin in a few short weeks is endless. If you’re looking for a dramatic ‘lift’ to your appearance without expensive surgery, chemical peels could be just what you’ve been looking for to get that youthful look back!

Here are some great benefits of chemical peels:

  • Reduction or removal of blotchy patches.
  • Eliminating sun damage and evening skin tone.
  • Acne management and scar reduction.
  • Improved collagen growth and smoother skin.
  • Better skin quality.

Here at Skinetics we offer many different peels~ Here are a few of our most popular………

DermaSweep™

Exfoliation, circulation, rejuvenation! The DermaSweep™ is an innovative particle-free skin revitalization system that uses bristles and vacuum for a more effective exfoliation, as well as circulation. After the dead skin is removed from the exfoliation process, the skin is then infused with a specific solution like Vitamin C or Salicylic Acid for total skin rejuvenation. Each treatment is customized depending on skin type and desired level of exfoliation. The DermaSweep™ treats early signs of aging, fine lines, hyperpigmentation, photo-damage, acne, acne scars, surgical scars and dehydrated skin.

Light Complexion Peel

Addresses environmentally damaged skin types utilizing hydrogen peroxide, glycolic, lactic and salicylic acids. This unique treatment is customized to meet the needs of all skin types.

MicroPeel®

The MicroPeel® is a safe and effective procedure that can be customized to meet the needs of all skin types. This unique 3-step process starts with Dermaplaning or Biomedic Pure Enzyme to remove the dead cellular layers. Next, an AHA solution is applied to the skin to help free pores of impacted debris. Finally, Cryogenic Therapy is performed to help relieve inflammation and cool the skin.

MicroPeel Plus®

The MicroPeel Plus® is a fifteen-minute in-office procedure that will help smooth fine lines and even skin discoloration while reducing the appearance of acne scars and environmental damage to the skin. Available in two concentrations of salicylic acid, the MicroPeel Plus® can be tailored to fit different skin types and goals.

Oxygenating Peel

Using 95% pure medical-grade oxygen with hyperbaric pressure that stimulates healthy cell renewal. This treatment targets every skin condition from acne, rosacea and sun damage with anti-aging benefits. The perfect partner for many other therapies which enhances the benefits of other procedures such as chemical peels.

The Perfect Derma Peel

The Perfect Derma Peel is the only peel that premieres Glutathione as a founding component and is the only true anti-aging ingredient offered exclusively in our formula. The Perfect Derma Peel works from the inside to repair and nourish the skin by giving it a radiant glow, refining pores, improving hyperpigmentation, lifting melasma, diminishing fine lines and wrinkles, eliminating acne and preventing acne marks. Most importantly, the Glutathione element defies the aging process.

Pumpkin Peel

Addresses all skin types needing nutrient input. Brightening peel containing Vitamin C and antioxidant properties to fight free radical damage.

Skin Resurfacing Peel

Mid-depth chemical peel utilizing medical grade Trichloroacetic acid (TCA) which addresses more severe skin conditions, such as acne scars, deep wrinkles, enlarged pores and hyperpigmentation. After one week, a follow-up treatment of the Oxygenating Peel and Dermaplaning is performed to enhance and rejuvenate the skin.

Here’s to healthy skin!

The Perfect Peel

09 Sep 2013 / 0 Comments / in Enhancements, Promotions, Skin Care, Skin Conditions, Uncategorized/by Kara McCarthy

We would like to introduce you to The Perfect Peel.  This unique formula debuts a new era in skin health and as we simply put it (Perfection: The Future of Skin Rejuvenation).  Never before has a peel offered results at this level to all ranges of skin types.  The Perfect Peel founds itself on a key anti-aging ingredient never before used in a peel: Glutathione.  Glutathione is the ultimate antioxidant known to prevent damage to important cellular components caused by free radicals and peroxides. As we age, our Glutathione levels are depleted due to sun exposure, air pollutants and environmental stress.

2012 Skin Resolutions:

26 Dec 2011 / 0 Comments / in Protection, Skin Care, Skin Care Tips, Uncategorized/by Kara McCarthy

2012 is here and so are yearly resolutions. We all have bad skin habits to break, so why not add some skin care resolutions? Below is a list of our top 5 bad habits to break for the New Year.

1. Stop touching your face

Trying to self treat blemishes or other imperfections on your face can mostly lead to making the problem worse. Stay away from facial extractors available in your local drugstore, and leave it to a professional.

2. Appointments

For healthy skin, be sure to keep monthly appointments with your aesthetician, dermatologist, or doctor. And don’t forget to make an appointment for a yearly mole check up!

3. Stop sleeping with your makeup on

Once you get in the habit of cleansing your skin before bedtime, it will become routine and your skin will thank you!

4. Sunscreen

Levels of SPF can be found in almost any beauty product these days, so there really aren’t any excuses on why you are skipping this life saving step.

5. Set your own skin care goals

Setting skin care goals can only lead to you fully achieving what you would like most for your skin. We all have them, we just need to stick with them and the results will truly be rewarding…a younger looking you!

Best wishes for the New Year and new improved you!
